Holland & Hart's Alexandra Hodson and Matthew Harvey Elected to Leadership Positions in the Idaho State Bar Intellectual Property Law Section

Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that attorneys Alexandra Hodson and Matt Harvey have recently been elected to leadership positions in the Idaho State Bar Intellectual Property Law Section

Alexandra will serve as Chair for the 2023-24 term where she will lead the other officers and governing council members in supporting the Section’s mission to promote the education, training, and networking opportunities of attorneys who practice in the area of intellectual property law.  Matt has served three consecutive terms as section chair and will now serve as the Southern Vice Chair for the 2023-24 term where he will continue to provide guidance on initiatives focused on the professional and personal development of section members.

Alexandra focuses her practice on all aspects of trademark law, working with brand owners of local start-ups and multinational corporations alike. She works closely with foreign counsel across the world to execute portfolio strategies that drive and protect brand value for her clients. In addition to her trademark practice, Alexandra is an adjunct professor for the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic at the University of Idaho College of Law, where she lectures on intellectual property law and prosecutes trademark applications with the USPTO on behalf of the program's clients.

As a registered patent attorney, Matt focuses his practice on patent prosecution, patent analysis, and IP due diligence matters across electrical engineering and standards-essential technology. In addition to his prosecution practice, Matt has also represented clients in patent litigation matters, including litigating multiple wireless telecommunications-related patents. Matt’s background as both a patent litigator and patent prosecutor has provided him with a holistic view of the patent process and informs his approach to preparation and prosecution.
