Cybersecurity Grabs Headlines, But Privacy Policies and Practices Are as Important

Salt Lake City, UT

A recent study found 600% more cases were filed against companies for privacy violations than for cybersecurity incidents. This discussion of the Data Lifecycle will address how and why businesses must have:

  1. a cybersecurity program designed to protect the availability of corporate assets, and
  2. a privacy program designed to collect, use, and store personal information.

The discussion will conclude with a brief primer on what the new General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) means for US businesses in preparation for the November 28 presentation.

Experienced cybersecurity and global privacy advisors Tracy Gray and Rich Spilde will attend from Holland & Hart’s Boulder, Colorado office.
