Douglas Abbott provides seasoned counsel to clients in a wide variety of complex civil and commercial litigation matters.

Doug has tried numerous jury and bench trials in federal and state courts, as well as arbitrations and numerous successful mediations. Doug emphasizes obtaining a successful resolution as efficiently as possible, consistent with client goals.

Doug’s practice encompasses a diverse variety of industry sectors and substantive areas. His broad experience includes representing energy companies in contract disputes and negligence claims, representing employee health care plan administrators, representing government contractors in wage and hour disputes, representing various entities through the ballot initiative process, and defending claims under campaign finance laws. Doug was also involved in one of the largest cases involving crop damage from herbicides, and has tried cases in federal court involving a constitutional challenge to a state statute and discrimination under the ADA.
