Jules draws on her broad-based litigation experience to bring significant value to clients involved in a variety of complex commercial disputes.

Jules has represented some of the largest companies in the world in matters that have included contract disputes, fraud, business tort claims, class action claims, and claims brought under securities statutes. Jules honed her skills in commercial litigation trials, appeals, and arbitrations, while working for global firms in New York and Dallas and she brings that prospective to each of her cases. Jules is adept in representing public and private business entities and individuals in an administrative setting or in state or federal court.

Client Results

Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Jules worked on the following matters
  • Obtained a dismissal of five class action cases filed in New York and Texas and consolidated by the JPML against a leading government defense contractor for alleged violations of federal privacy statutes and state laws.

  • Assisted in the defense of a publicly traded company in multiple federal securities class actions in Michigan and state court derivative suits in Texas stemming from antitrust investigations by the DOJ and an SEC inquiry.

  • Obtained dismissal of class action shareholder litigation against a leading healthcare provider and of suits brought by physician groups alleging securities fraud and challenging the provider’s business practices.

  • Successfully defended a nationwide health care company in a $60 million lawsuit for alleged breach of contract and fraud arising from the acquisition of laboratories.

  • Provided coverage opinions for a multinational insurance company for claims made under commercial general liability and maritime policies.

  • Obtained a complete defense verdict for a leading telecommunications company in a commercial fraud and business destruction case in which plaintiffs sought over $1.5 billion in alleged damages.

  • Represented a leading manufacturer of tobacco products in its nationwide campaign to eliminate the manufacture and sale of counterfeit product.

  • Represented a global hotel company in a putative nationwide class action brought on behalf of travel agents to recover in excess of $100 million in commissions allegedly due.

  • Represented a variety of franchisors in litigation matters involving issues such as breach of contract, termination of the franchise agreement, and enforcement of the terms and conditions of the agreement.

  • Assisted as part of a nationwide team defending a leading professional services firm in RICO claims relating to tax shelters.

  • Obtained a favorable judgment in Texas in a securities fraud matter arising from the sale of limited partnership interests and obtained dismissal on motion of a related New York action.

  • Defeated class certification in a case against a national self-storage company based in California alleging lead exposure and contamination of property.
