Walt Sinclair Receives Idaho State Bar 2018 Professionalism Award

Holland & Hart Boise attorney Walt Sinclair was honored as one of this year’s Professionalism Award recipients by the Idaho State Bar at its annual July meeting in Sun Valley, Idaho. The Idaho State Bar Board of Commissioners selects at least one attorney in each of Idaho’s seven judicial districts to receive this award, who has engaged in extraordinary activity in his or her community, in the state, or in the profession, which reflects the highest standards of professionalism.

Walt has extensive bench and jury trial experience. In the last decade, he has focused his practice primarily on the federal courts, with extensive trial time in the U.S. District Court of Idaho. Walt has also worked closely with the Court as a Federal Representative to the Federal Court for the District of Idaho, an officer of the Idaho Legal History Society, and a member of the Idaho Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, serving president in 2016 and 2017.

In addition to his service to the legal profession, Walt dedicates significant time to community organizations. He currently serves on the boards of the FACES of Hope Foundation and Idaho Community Foundation, is a past president of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, has been a member of the Learning Lab Advisory Committee, and has served in various positions with the American Heart Association since 1994, including on the AHA National Board of Directors.
