WILEF Gold Standard Certification Awarded to Holland & Hart

Firm Among Law 360's "Best Law Firms for Female Partners"

For the eighth consecutive year, Holland & Hart has received Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). This year, 42 law firms throughout the U.S. were awarded Gold Standard Certification. Holland & Hart is one of only 11 firms to receive this recognition every year since WILEF began the award in 2011.

Law firms with 300 or more practicing lawyers in the United States are eligible for the 2018 WILEF Gold Standard Certification. Certification is awarded to firms that meet the mandatory criterion that:

  • 20 percent of U.S. equity partners or, alternatively, one-third of attorneys who became U.S. equity partners within the previous 12 months, are women. This year, 32 of the 42 firms met or exceeded this standard.

and at least three of the following five criteria:

  • 15 percent of the heads of the firm and its U.S. branch office heads combined are women
  • 20 percent of the members of the firm’s primary governance committee are women
  • 20 percent of the members of the committee that determines equity partner compensation are women
  • 15 percent of the top half of U.S. equity partners in terms of compensation are women
  • 7 percent of U.S. women equity partners are women of color and/or 3.5 percent of them are LGBT

Holland & Hart was also recently included on Law 360’s Glass Ceiling Report, that lists the best law firms for female partners – those firms advancing gender equality in law firms’ equity partnership. With just over 27% female equity partners, Holland & Hart ranks third in the 300-599 attorneys tier compared to an average of just 19.7% female equity partners at similarly-sized firms.
