Workplace Violence: How to Prepare for and Respond to the Unthinkable

Denver, CO

Almost two million American workers face violence in the workplace every year. Workplace violence incidents can range from verbal threats to physical confrontations – and in some cases homicide. Employers have a legal and ethical obligation to promote a work environment free from threats and violence. This training will provide participants with awareness of violence in the workplace and recognition of warning signs. They will gain knowledge in order to create action plans and ways to mitigate dangerous situations, and develop skills for prevention and response to violent incidents in the workplace. In this breakfast briefing, we’ll explore:

  • What is Workplace Violence
  • Workplace Violence and the Law
  • Recognizing the Hazards of Workplace Violence
  • Workplace Violence Action Plan Development
  • Responding to Violent Incidents
