Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that Salt Lake City partner Adrienne Bell was selected for the 2024 Paul T. Moxley Mentor Award by the Utah State Bar Commission, the volunteer board that oversees the activities of the Utah State Bar.
The Paul T. Moxley Mentor Award is awarded to an individual attorney who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the mentorship of Utah lawyers, generally. These individuals have guided lawyers throughout their professional training in a continuing, multifaceted partnership sustained by mutual respect and concern. These mentors make a broad impact on mentorship by facilitating communities or building infrastructure. They have provided intellectual leadership, created a supportive environment, have acted as advocates, and promoted diversity and inclusiveness. The Bar Commission seeks to honor the excellence of those who set a higher standard and make the Utah legal community and our society a better place.
In considering Adrienne's nomination, the Commission considered statements of support including,
“Adrienne was one of very few women lawyers working in real estate, and generally found herself as the only woman at most of the tables she was seated. This didn’t faze her. She confidently built a substantial practice, mentoring and building the practice of other women lawyers along the way. Adrienne currently serves on the management committee for Holland & Hart and in her role, actively advocates for policies that foster equity for women in the firm and increase opportunities for advancement. She also uses her position and the respect she has earned at the firm to advocate for individual women attorneys. She cares enough to find out about individual circumstances and to help others in the firm recognize the unique contribution of women who may not always fit a traditional lawyer model to help those women overcome what others may have otherwise seen as obstacles to career progression and success.”
Adrienne represents the real estate, land use, and development needs of clients in a wide variety of industries. She regularly represents real estate developers and builders, traditional and renewable energy companies, hotels and resorts, and healthcare companies. She has worked on projects within our footprint as well as across the country and assists with every stage of the project development cycle - from early-stage site control through commercial operations. Adrienne also provides counsel on land use and zoning matters and state and local tax incentive and financing for renewable projects across the country.
Adrienne was presented the award at the Utah State Bar Commission’s 2024 Fall Forum on November 14th.
