Ashley Peck Shares Insights Navigating Motherhood and Working on KSL Newsradio

Holland & Hart Salt Lake City partner Ashley Peck joined KSL Newsradio’s The Mom Show podcast host Lindsay Aerts, to discuss women in business. Peck shares her journey from studying journalism as an undergraduate to attending law school, and becoming an environmental law partner at a national law firm. Peck also shared the challenges of balancing family life and her professional career and how she developed a variety of solutions, including the importance of establishing partnership with family members. Peck added, “I’ve also had the benefit of a workplace that had flex-time policies. We offer those for both men and women.” The discussion also covered some of the issues women face in male-dominated industries and the importance to have intentional and deliberate policies in place to include more women in management and high-level leadership positions. “It’s a work in progress and there is always room for improvement, but I feel like it is something that is a core value for us and for the firm.” The episode, “Women in Power Spotlight: Partner at a law firm,” aired April 17.

The Mom Show is a KSL Newsradio podcast hosted by Lindsay Aerts. This is not your mother's podcast. Lindsay Aerts looks at the topics and issues that moms care about. Babies, health care, mental health, family and everything in between.
