Brent works diligently to resolve clients’ disputes when resolution outside litigation becomes unavoidable.
Brent’s background includes research and analysis on legal issues related to copyrights and trade secrets, employment, ADA discrimination, torts, appeals, civil rights, and contract matters. He finds immense gratification in the educational aspect of the law and relishes the opportunity to explain legal matters to his clients in a comprehensible manner.
Brent started his legal career clerking for Magistrate Judge Marcos E. López of the US District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and later for Chief Judge Scott W. Skavdahl of the US District Court in Wyoming. These experiences granted him invaluable insight into the procedural intricacies of trial management. He assisted in handling pretrial matters, authoring orders, and resolving motions brought before the court.
During law school, Brent had legal externships with the US Attorney’s Office in Arizona, the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor at US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the US Department of Justice Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section.
