Ben represents mortgage lenders and institutional borrowers in complex market rate, affordable, and unconventional commercial real estate deals around the country.
Ben provides comprehensive representation to large national lenders and borrowers in commercial mortgage-backed securities (MBS) transactions involving complex portfolios of multifamily properties as part of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac programs, as well as other conventional and affordable loan programs.
He assists clients with real estate acquisition, refinancing, assumptions, transfers, mezzanine and bridge loans, and all facets of structured financing for CRE projects ranging from origination to delivery. Ben reviews and drafts complex organizational documents and loan documents, conducts title and survey review, and negotiates document modifications.
Ben also represents investor-side clients, focusing on private equity transactions and collateralized investments, involving the drafting, negotiation, and incorporation of essential documents and terms.
Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Ben was an associate in the Washington, DC office of Ballard Spahr. During law school, he served as a law clerk in the Office of Administration for the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
