Health Law Webinar - Accountable Care Organizations 2.0

Thursday, July 28, 2016, 12:00-1:00 MT

Presented by: Pia Dean

The six years since the Affordable Care Act first introduced ACOs has seen both successes and challenges. Of the 32 original Pioneer ACOs, only 19 remain active. CMS has, however, launched new initiatives, most notably the Medicare Shared Savings Program which now covers more than 7 million beneficiaries and reports savings of more than $340 million. This program will discuss new developments in ACO models, including:

  • June 2015 Final Rule provisions for ACOs
  • Overview of the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), including the methodology for determining shared savings and losses
  • Advance Payment ACO Model
  • Essential information that providers need to know about ACOs
