Health Law Basics Webinar - Interpreters and Translators

HHS just proposed rules implementing ACA requirements for providing interpreters and translators for patients and others. These are in addition to existing rules applicable to persons with disabilities or those who may not speak English. This program will review the relevant legal requirements and provide practice suggestions for compliance with applicable laws, including:

  • HHS’s Limited English Proficiency Rules
  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
  • Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • Proposed rule on Nondiscrimination in Health Programs and Activities (implementing Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act)
  • Common state laws

There is no charge for this webinar.
