Holland & Hart Advises Clearway Energy Group on EPC and PSA Agreements for Solar and Energy Storage Facilities in Texas

Holland & Hart represented Clearway Energy Group (Clearway), a leading integrated clean energy company with the 5th largest renewable operating fleet in the US, in the negotiation of two Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreements with Blattner Energy, LLC and a Purchase and Sale Agreement (PSA) for batteries for the 300 MW Pine Forest solar and 200 MW Pine Forest standalone energy storage projects in Hopkins County, Texas.

Clearway recently announced it has closed financing and begun construction on the Pine Forest facilities. Once complete, the Pine Forest projects will generate enough electricity to power over 90,000 homes with reliable, low-cost energy. The energy storage system will store excess power and dispatch it when demand is high, providing valuable flexibility to the grid.

The Holland & Hart transaction team was led by partner Ashley Wald, with assistance from Adam Cohen and JT Iacovetta.
