Holland & Hart represented Purely Elizabeth, a female-founded company and leader in the natural foods category, in its $50M Series B financing round. The round was co-led by SEMCAP Food & Nutrition, a new division of SEMCAP that invests growth equity in innovative food companies that support sustainable modern health and a better future for food, and joined by co-investors Swander Pace Capital and SEMCAP's Partner, Fresh Del Monte.
The funding will be used to drive continued growth through product innovation, e-commerce, and investment in marketing. Purely Elizabeth has nearly doubled its retailer doors in the last four years from 8,000 retailers in 2018 to 15,000 retailers in 2021.
The Holland & Hart transactional team was led by food, beverage, and consumer products partner Chuck Cotter, with assistance from associate Holly Ellsworth and venture analyst Candace Alai.
