Holland & Hart is pleased to announce the firm’s Salt Lake City office has achieved Utah Center for Legal Inclusion (UCLI) 2022 Certification for the second consecutive year.
One of UCLI’s objectives is to provide Utah’s legal employers, businesses, and other organizations with the tools necessary to tackle the existing and future hiring, retention, advancement, and inclusion challenges for women and other diverse attorneys. To that end, UCLI has developed a UCLI Certification Program where participants develop effective strategies, methods, policies, standards, and practices for best advancing organization diversity and inclusion.
“Holland & Hart values its longstanding partnership with UCLI on initiatives such as the Utah Law Student Mentoring Program, which pairs firm lawyers with current law school students. We are committed to continue investing in programs as a firm and with UCLI that to improve opportunities for diverse lawyers in Salt Lake City and across the state,” said James Barnett, Salt Lake City Administrative Partner.
To earn UCLI 2022 Certification, the firm completed each of these criteria:
- Updated or maintained a UCLI Representative from the organization’s leadership
- Participate in an annual CLE Training
- Had one or more members of senior management complete D&I related training
- Sponsor UCLI or a UCLI Event, or host/volunteer at a UCLI related event or program
- Conduct an internal DEI assessment with organization’s employment
- Complete the annual UCLI Survey to assist UCLI in tracking the progress of Utah’s legal profession on DEI issues.
