Holland & Hart's Salt Lake City Office Receives 2023 Utah Center for Legal Inclusion Certification

Holland & Hart is pleased to announce the firm’s Salt Lake City office has achieved Utah Center for Legal Inclusion (UCLI) 2023 Certification for the third consecutive year.

One of UCLI’s objectives is to provide Utah’s legal employers, businesses, and other organizations with the tools necessary to tackle the existing and future hiring, retention, advancement, and inclusion challenges for women and attorneys of diverse backgrounds and experiences. To that end, it developed the UCLI Certification Program where participants track effective strategies and best practices to advance an organization’s diversity and inclusion efforts.

“Holland & Hart is honored to be recognized once again for its commitment to retention and inclusion initiatives. 2023 brought a newly launched Inclusion and Belonging subcommittee, enhanced DEI educational programming, and expanded community partnership with clients and DEI-focused organizations,” said Phyllis Wan, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “We value the firm’s longstanding collaboration with UCLI on initiatives such as the Utah Law Student Mentoring Program and look forward to new collaborations in 2024 and beyond.”

To earn UCLI 2023 Certification, the firm completed several criteria, including (but not limited to) having a UCLI representative from the organization’s leadership; setting and working towards an internal DEI goal; participating in a UCLI-sponsored CLE training; sponsoring a UCLI event or program; and completing the annual UCLI Survey on DEI issues.

UCLI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion in Utah’s legal profession. More information about the UCLI Certification Program can be found here: www.utahcli.org/certification.
