Holland & Hart is proud to announce that Jane Michaels, an experienced trial lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator, was selected for inclusion in Lawdragon’s Hall of Fame. The 2020 “Leading Lawyers in America” Hall of Fame is a permanent designation that includes 41 of the most accomplished litigators, corporate lawyers, judges, law professors, and public interest lawyers recognized for their extraordinary contribution to the legal profession. As in previous years, the 2020 Hall of Fame honorees include some of the nation’s most prominent and distinguished attorneys.
Jane’s accomplishments as a pre-eminent lawyer have garnered recognition and accolades from regional and national organizations as well as professional publications. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the International Society of Barristers. She has also been selected for membership in the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
The Lawdragon 500 “Leading Lawyers in America,” in which Jane has been listed for a decade, includes the top attorneys with the most elite distinction in the profession, “covering the best of the best in all practice areas.” This year’s Hall of Fame class also contains many women lawyers who, according to Lawdragon, have “possessed the strength, determination and power required to change the profession for the better.”
“Jane has earned a well-deserved reputation as an outstanding litigator and a consummate professional within our firm and in the legal community,” said partner Chris Toll, also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. “Jane’s impressive track record in the courtroom is the result of her remarkable legal acumen, impeccable preparation, and natural ability to connect with and persuade judges and juries. All of us whom Jane has mentored appreciate her willingness to share her insights, creative ideas, and winning strategies. She is an exceptional role model who has helped us become more effective advocates for our clients. Now that Jane is devoting her talents to serving as an arbitrator and mediator, the legal and businesses communities will benefit from her wise counsel and sound judgment,” added Toll.
Jane has decades of experience as a successful trial lawyer representing clients in complex business, intellectual property, and technology disputes in courtrooms and arbitrations around the country. As a certified arbitrator and mediator, Jane currently focuses her practice on alternative dispute resolution, helping companies resolve their commercial and intellectual property disputes fairly, expeditiously, and cost-effectively.
