Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that Anchorage attorneys Jon Katchen and Katy Brautigam have been selected as 2021 recipients of the Benjamin Walters Distinguished Service Award by the Anchorage Bar Association. The Benjamin Walters Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to at least one attorney who exemplifies the values of caring and service to the legal community, the same qualities that Walters embraced.
Jon and Katy are being recognized for their outstanding service and collective donation of hundreds of hours over the last year representing a survivor of domestic violence in a high conflict divorce and custody case.
Outside of their pro bono work, Jon’s practice focuses on natural resources project development, defense of governmental and citizen enforcement actions, and complex commercial litigation. He also counsels investors and resource development companies regarding economic development opportunities in Alaska. Katy’s practice focuses on environmental and infrastructure project development and litigation in Alaska. Katy helps clients secure and defend environmental authorization for resource development and energy projects and counsels clients on permitting issues.
Jon and Katy will be presented virtually with the Benjamin Walters Distinguished Service Award at the Alaska Bar Annual Meeting on September 15.
