Holland & Hart is pleased to announce Kate Bradshaw, Director of Government Affairs in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, has been selected as one of Utah Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40 honorees. The program recognizes business professionals under the age of 40 for their business success in one or more of the following categories: demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities; an innovator creating a disrupted technology who is making a major impact in an industry or market; or an entrepreneur who has created a new market or industry for a product with a high level of success.
Kate is an influential and effective lobbyist in Utah. As Director of Government Affairs at Holland & Hart, she leads the firm’s government affairs programs in eight western states and represents clients before the Utah State Legislature, Governor and Executive branch agencies, and local jurisdictions. Kate develops comprehensive legislative and public relations strategies, including community outreach, and advises on key legislative, PAC, and campaign donation strategies.
Kate is known for taking on challenging legislative topics. Just one example is the Responsible Beer Choice Coalition, where she crafted and led the grassroots and political lobbying effort to persuade the State Legislature to increase the alcohol content of beer sold in retail outlets in Utah from 3.2 to 4.0% alcohol by weight, representing the biggest change in Utah alcohol content laws in 86 years.
In addition to serving as Director of Government Affairs, Kate has held multiple leadership roles, including serving as Councilwoman to the City of Bountiful since 2018, chairing the Westminster College Alumni Board, forming the Utah Business Coalition in 2014 and serving as co-chair since 2017, and serving as precinct chair for Bountiful Precinct 9.
