Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that attorney Little V. West, of counsel in the firm’s Santa Fe office, was recently appointed to the New Mexico Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission to serve a four-year term. The Commission is a state agency created to develop, promote, and coordinate statewide plans and activities for the annual commemoration and celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
A vital part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission’s purpose and vision is to bring Dr. King’s message of nonviolent social action to all citizens of New Mexico. To accomplish this, the Commission works with state government, nonprofit organizations, and civic and community organizations to provide the necessary program and financial support, in accordance with the New Mexico State Statutes.
In his practice, Little counsels new and established businesses on development and implementation of best practices to comply with labor and employment laws and regulations. Little also represents clients as a government affairs advocate, helping clients to achieve their goals from a policy perspective.
