Holland & Hart is proud to announce that Mary York, a partner in the firm’s Boise office, has been selected to serve as President of the Idaho State Bar Board of Commissioners.
Mary was initially elected to a three-year term as the Fourth District Commissioner in 2022. The Board of Commissioners is the elected governing body of the Idaho State Bar and is comprised of five commissioners, each elected from Idaho’s seven judicial districts. The officers of the Board include a President and President elect, both of whom are selected from among the elected commissioners to serve as President during their term.
Mary's practice focuses on condemnation cases, real estate litigation, and general commercial litigation. She helps her clients assess legal issues, evaluate resolution options, and achieve favorable outcomes. As a former Deputy Attorney General for the Idaho Transportation Department and an experienced trial lawyer, Mary applies her understanding of the range of factors that contribute to litigation and settlement proceedings to anticipate opposing counsel’s strategies and identify stronger positions for her clients.
