Paul Swanson Discusses Impact of Apple's App Store Fee Cuts on Antitrust Case with The Wall Street Journal

Holland & Hart antitrust attorney Paul Swanson, was quoted in The Wall Street Journal Nov. 18 tech article entitled, “‘Apple Slashes App Store Fees for Smaller Developers.” The article discusses Apple’s announcement that it will reduce App Store commission fees for developers with sales of less than $1 M. Swanson shares insights on whether the fee change might impact the ongoing antitrust case against Epic Games. Swanson said, “If anything, Apple’s pricing change could reinforce the argument that commission levels are based on Apple fiat rather than true competitive pressures, which Epic has said is its main beef.”
