COVID-19: Wyoming

Restrictions on Private Business Operations

  • Two orders have been issued by the Wyoming Governor Gordon and Department of Health:

  • To close all restaurants, bars, theaters, gymnasiums, childcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools in the state. Restaurants can continue drive-through and delivery services.

  • To limit gatherings to ten (10) people and practice social distancing.

Support for Impacted Businesses

  • Governor Gordon has formed five task forces, including one for businesses that will focus on "banking resiliency" and the state's small businesses, which the Governor terms as the Wyoming economy's life blood. This task force in its early stages.

Current Status of Legislature

  • Wyoming's 2020 legislative session ended March 12th. The legislators have not currently set a date for a special session this summer, it is almost certain there will be one relating to the COVID-19 issues.

State and Local Tax

  • Tax filing moved to July 15, 2020.
