Evan’s practice focuses on intellectual property and commercial transactions.
Evan advises clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, software, manufacturing, consumer products and media/entertainment. He assists clients in structuring, drafting, and negotiating intellectual property and commercial agreements, including licenses, consulting and services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, employee and independent contractor agreements, distribution agreements, sponsorship agreements, and reseller agreements.
When corporate transactions include significant technology and intellectual property assets, Evan assists with due diligence and drafting protective provisions.
During law school, Evan gained practical experience serving in hands-on opportunities, including as an extern for Judge Nina Y. Wang of the US District Court for the District of Colorado and at the University of Colorado’s Technology Transfer Office where he drafted licensing agreements for university-owned intellectual property. Evan was also a member of the University of Colorado Law School Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. Before attending law school, Evan was a Program Analyst Intern at the United States Office of the Secretary of Transportation (DOT) where he obtained a secret security clearance. Evan also participated for two years in Holland & Hart’s Summer Clerk program.
