DENVER (May 16, 2024)—Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce that experienced government affairs professional Troy Lyons has joined the firm as Senior Director of Federal Affairs in the Washington, DC office.
Troy leverages trusted relationships with bipartisan federal government stakeholders to help clients navigate legislative and regulatory challenges. He also helps clients assess the opportunities and risks of federal engagement and develops short- and long-term tactics and strategies—including lobbying, public relations, and political intelligence—aligned with their business interests.
Troy brings a valuable combination of public and private sector expertise. His public service experience includes serving on the staff of two US Senators and as an executive branch appointee in two presidential administrations. Troy has also advocated for industry interests through roles at American Exploration & Production Council, Hess Corporation and Hess PAC, and BP America.
“I worked closely with Troy at EPA and I’m thrilled he has joined our team,” said Andrew Wheeler, Partner and Head of Federal Affairs. “With over two decades of federal-level experience working on both sides of the aisle with Congress and the executive branch and with regulatory agencies, he will bring incredible value to firm clients, particularly in the energy industry. Together with Senior Policy Advisor Kaleb Froehlich, who recently rejoined the firm, our Federal Team has incredible momentum.”
“It is an honor to join a firm of Holland & Hart’s caliber,” shared Troy. “The depth of expertise and political savvy of this federal team is exciting. I’m looking forward to great collaborations and the opportunity to develop engagement strategies that help advance clients’ interests.”
