Hugh O’Halloran’s extensive real estate experience includes the acquisition, finance, and development of hotels, mixed-use condominiums, medical office buildings, senior housing, food production facilities, and industrial facilities.
As leader of the firm’s Resorts, Lodging and Leisure practice, Hugh devotes significant time to representing hotel and resort developers, owners, lenders, and operators in the day-to-day business of running their real estate portfolios. A significant portion of his acquisition and development work has included golf courses and associated residential and mixed-use ventures. He also provides general commercial representation in connection with family-owned businesses, ranging from day-to-day operational representation to positioning those companies for ultimate disposition.
Hugh serves as a trusted advisor, trustee, and fiduciary for high net worth individuals, families, and family charitable foundations. He also serves on, and advises, the boards of numerous community charitable foundations. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Hugh was a partner in an Am Law 100 firm headquartered in the Midwest. Hugh is the immediate past leader of the firm's Real Estate, Development, and Finance Practice Group and previously served as the Administrative Partner of Holland & Hart's Jackson office.
