Holland & Hart represented Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum, now known as History Jackson Hole, in connection with its $21.5 million purpose-built museum in Jackson, Wyoming. Opened in 2024, the museum integrates both the past and present in Jackson's historic downtown district, nestled within a cherished block that serves as both a community cornerstone and protected heritage site.
The project involved a broad framework of development and financing agreements, encompassing a network of legal, financial, and municipal collaborations. This multi-layered approach included the negotiation of the property purchase agreement, ancillary conservation and development agreements, negotiation of demolition, public taxation financing, referendum financing work, and ultimately the development of the new museum, all while aligning with the town of Jackson’s regulations and community interests. Our team was also involved in negotiating the construction management, architect, and general construction agreements for the museum project, as well as disposition of historic museum facilities.
The Holland & Hart team was led by real estate development partner Hugh O’Halloran, with additional assistance from Thomas Morales, Brad Flynt, Matt Abell, Trisa DiPaola, Tim Crisp, and Heidi Glance, among others.
