Holland & Hart is pleased to announce the firm has joined the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). The LCLD is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have pledged to create a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. By producing tangible results in LCLD’s institutions, members work to promote inclusiveness in their organizations, circles of influence, and society, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession. Managing Partner Lucy Stark serves as Holland & Hart’s representative to LCLD.
Partner Engels Tejeda has been named a member of LCLD’s 2022 class of Fellows. In addition, Of Counsel Jennifer Jensen and Associate Laurie Rogers have been selected for membership in the LCLD 2022 class of Pathfinders.
“Holland & Hart is proud to deepen its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by joining LCLD, an organization with a proven track record of superior professional-development programs for diverse lawyers at varying stages in their careers,” said Phyllis Wan, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “We are delighted that Engels Tejeda, Jenn Jensen, and Laurie Rogers will join LCLD alumna Jolly Northrop, in opportunities to enhance their leadership and relationship building skills while also benefitting from LCLD’s extensive network,” added Wan.
Launched in 2011, the Fellows Program is an intensive, year-long professional development program that mentors the legal industry’s diverse leaders of tomorrow. Designed for lawyers with 8 to 15 years of experience, the program connects high-potential attorneys with leading general counsel and managing partners, and their peers for mentoring and career guidance. The Pathfinder Program is a seven-month professional program designed to train high-performing, early-career attorneys on foundational leadership and relationship-building. The program provides participants with the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the legal profession along with experts in the fields of learning and development and executive coaching.
Partner Engels Tejeda, a trial attorney in the Salt Lake City office, focuses his practice on consumer claims defense, distributed energy, banking litigation, and bankruptcy and distressed assets. Engels also serves as a judge pro tempore in the small claims division of the Salt Lake City Justice Court.
Jenn Jensen is a litigator in the Boise office, focusing her practice on complex commercial disputes, class certification, and other class- and collective-action issues. She assists clients with business disputes at the trial level and with state and federal appeals. Jenn recently served as deputy attorney general in the Idaho Attorney General’s Office.
An employment law attorney in the Cheyenne office, Laurie Rogers represents local and national employers on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including HR counseling and federal and state legal compliance issues. When disputes arise, she defends employers in the courtroom, before administrative agencies, and in the ADR process.
