Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that Karina Sargsian, an associate in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, has been selected as one of Utah Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40 honorees in 2024. Annually, Utah Business recognizes young professionals who are changing Utah’s business landscape, for being accomplished individuals, and for the ways they’re elevating the future of business throughout the state.
A member of the firm’s Employment law team, Karina provides strategic advice and counsel to employers of all sizes on a full spectrum of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. She takes an innovative approach to advise clients effectively and efficiently, ensuring value to her stakeholders. Her clients appreciate her promptness and creative thinking. She treats each client and their business as if it were her own, contributing meaningful value.
She is an active member of several bar associations in the state, including the Women Lawyers of Utah, the Utah Minority Bar Association, and the Salt Lake County Bar Association. In 2023, she was named as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow and was recognized as an inaugural Atlas Award recipient by the LCLD in January 2024 for demonstrating the highest level of dedication throughout the 2023 Fellowship program. In addition to her client relations, Karina’s contributions towards fostering inclusivity in both her workplace and the wider legal profession are appreciated.
Karina’s work philosophy and dedication to community service are influenced by her personal journey of overcoming challenges her family faced during their transition as immigrants in their newfound home. Reflecting on her family’s journey, Karina said: “The specifics are not what stand out in my mind but rather the people who played pivotal roles in helping us overcome the obstacles. We were fortunate to settle in Utah, a state known for its warm and caring community. Countless individuals entered our lives, demonstrating genuine concern for our well-being and success in our new home. It was a collective effort marked by kindness and selflessness. I carry forward the spirit of community and support, striving to help others on their journey to success in the U.S.”
